I bought these to aid in hiking the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I used them on a few hikes up 4000ft mountains and found a lot of vibration in the poles. The shock absorbers at the top of the poles helped prevent the vibrations being felt in your hands, but it is still noticeable. I'm 6'5", so it may be better suited for smaller people.
