Comments about MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR Women's Downtown Coat:
My wife was complaining about being cold every winter in New England and Upstate New York. From the first time she put this coat on she has been ecstatic about it's comfort and warmth. We stood on the shore of Lake Erie with a stiff wind a d wind chill of -10 and she was warm.
For once I found the perfect Xmas gift that she will use foe many years.
Comments about MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR Women's Downtown Coat:
I love this jacket for the cold early morning trips to the bus stop with my son, as well as daily use around town. It's very warm for the weight, yet it's not so overfilled that you feel like the Michelin Man. I also love that it has a very soft "velvet-y" type of lining. I had never before owned a parka-length jacket/coat before, and I really like having the longer length - no cold wind sneaking in around my waist. I wan't crazy about the quality of the faux fur around the hood (very cheap looking), but fortunately the little fur strip zips off of the hood.
