I like the way this jacket looks and feels. Very cozy. My complaint is that it wears out quickly and looks flat and unkempt. The jacket has a distinct wear line where my seatbelt lies across my chest. I actually wore it only one season.

I live in an extremely cold area in the Vermont Mountains and find this jacket perfect for outdoor activities. Layer it under a windproof shell and you will be set. I wear it under my midweight jacket in subzero weather with no chill.

My husband purchased this jacket for me as a Christmas gift. I totally disagree with the first review, I like it for the weight, warmth and wind block it provides. Granted, it is better when wearing a sweatshirt vs. a t-shirt. But I have no complaints either way - we have had 30mph wind dropping the windchill to zero (quite unexpected) and been happy. It is not meant to be a coat, but it has performed better then any jacket I have owned from North Face or Columbia among others. They are a more form fitting, but still good over a sweatshirt - if you want it to fit like a normal jacket - order a size larger or buy the mens size (I wear a womens XL, husband purchased MENS XL and it was perfect).

I wanted a fleece for cool days in the fall and spring and cool nights camping in the summer, but this is so warm, I ended up wearing it as my winter jacket around town all winter. It is too warm for what I bought it for, but wonderful for a nice winter snowshoe.
