Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Divergence Fleece Jacket:
This jacket is FANTASTIC. It's warm, versatile, and not bulky at all. It has a great fit, feels true to size, and I wear it EVERY DAY. I am an avid downhill skier, and always wear this as my base layer under my shell and it's all I need however, I also wear it hiking, and even to work. It does not pill, and it is 10 times nicer than the North Face Fleece that everyone seems to "need" along with their Ugg boots....Gag me. If you're looking for a great Fleece that will last you a few years that you can wear EVERY DAY....look no further. And I'm pretty picky when it comes to fleece :) I would recommend ordering two because you wear them that much!!!!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Divergence Fleece Jacket:
I've been looking for a nice warm fleece jacket for some time - something different from North Face (which everyone has!). Got this in the purple colour and LOVE it. It's very comfortable and non-constricting, has a nice feminine fit, great length, pockets are lined with actual fabric and not cheap mesh and has a nice chest pocket. Yeah, the sleeve ends aren't adjustable but they definitely keep drafts out. I thought the jacket would be a tad bit thicker with the faux sherpa lining (which is why I gave it a 4 of 5) but it's still very warm and super light. I am very pleased with my purchase and will be wearing it a lot (it's SO comfortable!) I wish they offered it in a vest too! (Buy your usual size, it has room for layers underneath) If you are considering this jacket BUY IT! You won't regret it!!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Divergence Fleece Jacket:
This is a great jacket for me when the temps are too warm for my parka, but too cold for a light fleece. I like the fit, the look and the fact that it keeps me warm even in the wind. The pink is a really nice feminine color. I haven't washed it yet, but I'm hoping it's durable too. I've had no problem with anything and the zipper works fine. The only thing they can do better is make it with a hood!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Divergence Fleece Jacket:
I am always a size medium yet for some reason this jacket is way too big in the chest and the sleeves just aren't long enough. I was totally bummed because a smaller size would make the sleeve thing even worse! The color was beautiful, though. Sadly had to return it :(

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Divergence Fleece Jacket:
After reading rave reviews of this jacket, I thought it would be good for winter running, snowshoeing, and casual wear: I didn't know how right I was. I requested it as a gift in the nervous hope of sustaining my outdoor running habit during my first New England winter. Wearing this jacket as an outer layer, I have run 2-3 times a week (Jan-Apr) in temperatures spanning from -5 to a very windy 40 F. Also, while snowshoeing (Dec-Mar), this jacket has served as a trusty mid-layer under either a ski jacket or a light shell. Finally, as for casual wear, it has proved a perfect addition to my winter coat on cold days and a nice substitute for that coat with the arrival of Spring.
The improvements I can imagine would be a hood, thumb holes in the sleeves, and retaining its breathability at higher temperatures. That said, I am not sure these ideas would actually improve upon the jacket. It is already great, and I highly recommend it.
Oh--it needs emphasizing that the 'Ponderosa Pine' color is far more attractive in person than in the photo online!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Divergence Fleece Jacket:
Purchased to replace a 9 year old dearly loved Windpro fleece I accidentally left in the airport. Windpro is great for blocking out most (but not all) of the wind. I use mine for snowshoeing under a shell, or for backpacking in cold weather. Love the stretch panels on the side - they keep me mobile. It's great for snowy days around town, too (better than my down jacket that gets soggy if I'm shoveling snow for a long time).
I originally purchased a medium but it was huge (even with a vest underneath). Ordered the small and it is a good fit (although the collar is a bit small for having a vest collar underneath it). I weigh around 140 lbs, and have wide hips. The small is just on the edge of fitting my wide hips - wish it were .5 inches larger there. But the chest area isn't gigantic, which the medium was.
The purple color is OK - wish it were a bit more vibrant. Oh - and the sleeve length on the medium was LONG! I'm 5'6" and they were way too long. Length on the small is much better.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Divergence Fleece Jacket:
Would rate this medium to heavy weight. Fits well and is warm. It is better as an outdoor cover I found it gets a bit warm when worn inside. The collar is attractive and covers your neck, about turtle neck height. Pockets are well placed and deeper than expected. Zippers work well and are easy to use. I like the sleeve cuff, it prevents air from coming in but is not so tight that it catches on jewlry when putting it on.
