I was worried about the hood on this jacket and I couldn't find anyone who commented on it, so let me be the first. I originally wasn't sure whether the hood would be in the way or whether it would look ridiculous. I live in Boston and it is COLD here so I am really glad that I got the jacket with the hood. I usually get medium north face stuff because i like the little extra room, but I was a little surprised at the roomieness of the body in the medium. I'm 5'7" and athletically small on top so it is a tiny bit roomy for my liking but overall this isnt' a problem. I think the sleeves would be too short on the small.

The pocked on the left sleeve is so awesome for putting a credit card, license and some cash in. the Windwall lining is a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be. If you're looking for something to block the wind on your body and your head, this jacket is the way to go!!!

Also, the brown is a really true chocolate brown which even though the photo makes it look a bit murky.

I purchased this jacket for my daughter who is started college in the fall. She loves the jacket! I wanted a jacket that is wind proof and light wight. This jacket does both.

This is advertised as a jacket, it is not. It is merely a garden variety hoody with a North Face logo. We promptly returned for a refund.

This was a beautiful and comfortable jacket, however I returned it because it did not have the advertised vertical chest pocket. All of the other features of this jacket I truly liked, however the main feature I was looking for was that pocket. It does have a small "key" pocket on the left forearm.

The fit is a bit loose, but I guess it's supposed to be. It's not the soft kind of fleece, feels more like a felt. The picture for the plum colored jacket was definitely misleading. But the real color isn't bad (it's "plum"). Nice jacket overall.

The plum color jacket looks like purple on the website, but in reality, it's a maroon color. The chest area on the jacket is very wide. Overall, the jacket is very warm and it does keep out the wind. It is great for skiing and for layering underneath your coat on cold winter months.

Picked up the jacket after waiting forever for it to have price reduction. Just in time for 12 day trip to Peru in Lima, Cuzco, Sacred Valley and Machupicchu. Fabulous for weather changes, cool nights, drizzily days, and short down pours - high in the mountains and down on the coast. Brown color prevented me from looking umkempt as I wore it the entire trip. Love it!

This jacket is awesome. I couldn't decide between a small and an xsmall and I'm really glad I got the XS, as it's more of an athletic fit. Also, be aware that the color is more cranberry than the picture lets on (it looks darker online) but i still like it.
