I used to hate having anything in my front or cargo pockets on an extended hike. I felt like the more stuff in them, the more my range of motion was restricted. No matter how many "motion panels" or "crotch gussets" shorts or pants say they have, the material still limits your range of motion.

Within two weeks I ordered another pair in a different color (darker, because I figured I was going to be wearing them a lot and they were going to get dirty).

The only bad thing is that the cargo pocket is on the wrong side for me. I wish it was on the right. Love the two zipper access to the same pocket...access wether sitting or standing.

The Prana sizing chart for these shorts and the zion pant can be a challenge. I usually wear a 34 waist pant, and ordered the large which was too big, returned them and then got the medium which was spot on.

I've worn these shorts for parts of/most of day for the last month. Always look and feel good and show no signs of wear, even after many hours in the saddle.

Maybe the second greatest summer climbing short ever made! Only trumped by the older design of these shorts. The added zipper in the cargo pocket is a nice feature, especially if your hanging in a harness or riding a bike and need something from your pocket. However, the zippers make the pockets just a smidgen more bulky. Even so, they feel incredibly light weight. The right back pocket has been modified so your wallet won't slide out of your pants when you sit down, which was a common occurance with the old design. All that being said, prana stretch zion shorts are in my opinion the best shorts you can buy anywhere for summer craging or just hanging out. If the temps get high, you want to have these babies on!

I purchased these to replace a pair I bought for my husband last Summer. They are great except too long. They hit him below the knee. The previous pair were perfect in every way.

These shorts were precisely what I was looking for. They're good for weekends or to just kick around in on a summer evening. I bought a larger size than needed, and the belt doesn't tighten beyond a certain level, so that's kind of disappointing, but all in all, good stuff.

These are simply perfect shorts! I wear them around town, drive in them, hike in them, and will climb in them. (Haven't had a chance yet but they are extremely harness friendly).

They wash super well, dry super fast, and they are comfortable and practical. I'm a 33 waist and 6' tall and the medium fits better than any other article of clothing I own. I also have the zion pants which are awesome and fit the same.

for fit - im a size 30-31 depending on brand and a small is just a bit loose. But the waist adjustment takes care of it.

I use these shorts for anything that i need flexibility, breathabilty and may get soaked. The material is light and dries fast, I wear them practicing yoga also since they move so well.

just elected them to wear hiking Mt Washington this summer. no doubt will be happy with my choice.
