Great Merino wool product, you can feel the quality as soon as you put it on. Synthetic clothing just doesn't compare. Being 6 ft and 155 lbs., the Medium fits nicely. The neck is nice and snug when zipped, but I wish it were an inch longer in the torso. They should consider making a Medium Long like many of the wetsuit companies.

This is a great base layer for winter running and winter sports. This is why I like it:
1. For winter running and winter sports a quality thin base layer that breathes well and wicks moisture away is much more effective for staying warm and comfortable than heavier clothing without these features. This product not only meets those requirements, but is attractive looking, very comfortable, and not at all itchy even though it is made of merino wool.
2. This is very well made, runs true to size, and fits sleekly but not too tight. It is perfect for any cold weather aerobic activity.
3. The zip is about 10 inches, which is more than adequate for providing ventilation to accomodate changes in the temperature. When fully zipped the collar covers your entire neck up to your chin, which is very effective for sealing out the cold.
4. The sleeves have thumb holes, which are handy to use either with or without gloves.
5. In person this looks even better than in the picture.
6. Merino wool really makes a difference. I have sweated profusely in this, but there is no smell when it dries. That does not eliminate the need for washing, but does mean that I can use it several times before washing it.
7.Although this is NOT windproof, in heavy wind a light windbreaker was all I needed to stay warm and comfortable.
Bottom line: This is a quality product that is a nice addition to my winter running and snowshoeing gear.
