Comments about ICEBREAKER Men's Tech T Lite Shirt:

Everyting that is said about this T-shirt is true. It is amazingly comfortable, breathes well, feels great next to the skin, and remains odor free even after a vigorous work out. I've bought three of these over the past year using them in all seasons, as it is particularly good as a base layer which I have used when skiing and in warm weather months for hiking and cycling. Most often I use it when commuting by bike to work and find that it is good to use as an undershirt that dries quickly and retains odors. I can arrive at work and stay relatively fresh without needing to shower.

There is only one problem (well two but they are related). It is overly delicate for its standard usage and the cost, especially when compared to other wicking products like Techwick which is pratically indestructible. I first noticed this shortly after my first purchase when small holes developed where the dog had jumped on me. I have tried to take better care since then, wearing it primarily as an under layer, hand washing with gentle detergent and line drying, etc., but inevitably holes will begin to develop, particulrly in the under arm region. Eventually when one goes to pull it off it will completely rip, the fabric rotted beyond repair. The fabric, it seems, is particularly sensitive to the chemicals in perspiration, as all of mine have given out at about the same time in the summer, although I purchased each of them at different times throughout the year, wear them consistently all year, and wear each with about the same degree of frequency. The last one gave out in a few weeks from May to July.

Its positive aspects make it highly desireable, but its fragility make it more of an item to be worn a few times and thrown away which really adds to the expense of an already expensive item. If you can afford it then it is certainly worth buying, but its cost puts it into a luxury category that some may want to pass on.

Comments about ICEBREAKER Men's Tech T Lite Shirt:

This T travels well, doesn't retain odors, and is comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. Many others said that they had to go one size larger than normal. I didn't find that. I'm 6'2", 200 lbs and found the large to fit just fine. If you like your clothes very loose, then by all means, go one size up. But if you like a T to fit like a T, then stay with you're usual size.

      Very nice, but not stellar

Comments about ICEBREAKER Men's Tech T Lite Shirt:

Icebreaker is a great product. The finely spun merino wool is almost magical in its level of comfort and amazing resistance to becoming stinky. Anything Icebreaker makes is probably going to be nice next to the skin, provide a considerably wider temperature range for comfortable use than cotton or synthetic, and look good. The Tech T delivers all that. But all in all, it's not in the truly stellar league that the various 150 and 200 weight contour tops are, or the extraordinary 260 tops. Given the relatively high price of a fine merino T shirt, it might be hard to justify--even on sale. But if the extra cost is tolerable, the marvellous comfort, the feel of the merino, and it's resistance to becoming stinky makes it nice to have around.
