Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Merino Socks, 2-Pack:
These socks have trekked in the Himalaya, traveled throughout the dusty streets of India and along the AT and I've never gotten a single hot spot. Soft, warm and comfortable (and astonishingly resistant to acquiring odors).
I docked 'em a star for wearing thin at the heel, but should mention that this only happens when I wear them with my street shoes. Great socks, and as long as EMS keeps making 'em, I'll keep buying 'em.

I wear a mens 8.5 and I bought the large and they fit great. Nice and warm, great around the house, soft. If they last they are a Super buy at the 2 pack price and getting them on special as I did.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Merino Socks, 2-Pack:
Bought these for my daughter in the Army who needed some extra padding under her Army boots when they have to run in them. That's not what the boots were made for so these provided some extra cushioning.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Merino Socks, 2-Pack:
I wear wool socks in the winter time. I got started with Smartwool socks (which I really like). Saw these and thought I would give them a try--really impressed and would not hesitate to purchase more when I need them!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Merino Socks, 2-Pack:
Since I started wearing Merino wool socks, I have not gone back to cotton. Wool socks do an amazing job wicking moisture and keeping your feet dry. The benefit to Merino –vs- regular wool is they feel comfortable and do not shrink as much in the wash. The Poly/Wool material mixture is great because it keeps the sock tight around your foot and prevents the stretching that usually occurs with 100% wool socks.I have read reviews here saying people have had these socks for years. I find it hard to believe these people wear the socks daily and still have that kind of durability. For casual use, these socks may last a year or so but for those who get a few pairs and wear them every day, the weekly wear starts to add up. I have found these, like all wool socks I have tried, have about the same durability as cotton socks. The non-sale price here is average.[...][...].Bottom line: Great socks. Once you pick up a pair you will want to buy more.
