Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's WindStopper Gloves:
Purchased a pair of these 3 years ago and loved them, but lost one glove. The previous version had full leather palm and fingers which was much better. Obviously trying to cut costs by using cheaper materials (same for their expedition gloves and mitts, which also used to be full leather palms). Despite that, they work well and fit me well (Mens small). The only thing I find annoying is the elastic wrist; much too hard to get your hand in and out when damp. The wrist is rather long and narrow anyway, so I just cut out the elastics. Very comfortable and not too bulky. I would use these for winter hiking and XC skiing when you are generating some heat and/or need some dexterity.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's WindStopper Gloves:
I use these gloves mainly for casual wear and moderate outdoor activities (walking, biking, some cross-country skiing). The weight of the fleece is just right for my uses; the wind resistance is effective, especially when biking. I also like the design (moderate cuffs and subdued logo -- previous models were excessive on both scores). A little more leather on the palms and fingers would have been nice, but this is a very minor complaint.

I work security part time and found these gloves while looking for some base layer to wear under my uniform. These gloves are great because they are not bulky and they are warm. I'm sold!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's WindStopper Gloves:
As a Rescue Boat Operator for Charleston County Rescue Squad and a Gore MountainTech, I use this product when I'm on the water in colder temperatures or inclement weather.
This is a great product that I would highly recommend. These gloves have a close comfort fit which is nice when trying to grip or grab.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's WindStopper Gloves:
I lost one glove from my first pair, and liked them so much I bought another pair. They're my primary day to day winter glove for walking from home to the subway. On the coldest days I'll slip a thin liner glove underneath. They also have a place in my pack when hiking. I'll wear them when I don't need a waterproof glove. With a pair of liner gloves they've kept my hands warm in 10ºF temps when hiking up strenuous terrain.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's WindStopper Gloves:
I've used these for a couple of years and my dog got at my pair. Mostly, I used these gloves for motorcycle riding because the wind and the rain proofness lends itself to warmth and you can always add a liner.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's WindStopper Gloves:
These are very good gloves for general use in cold and windy conditions. I use them for bicycle commuting in the cold and rain. They are not waterproof, but my ride is pretty short. The gloves are a little thicker than I expected, but not too bulky. They are very durable, and for the dough they are a good value. I think EMS gloves are well made and compare well with more expensive options. This is about my fourth pair of different EMS gloves; I would not hesitate to buy more.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's WindStopper Gloves:
I have owned these gloves for ~2 months now and after mostly casual use am noticing that the stitching around the wrist cuff is tearing and there are holes in the gloves. Very disappointed to see this as the performance of the gloves is exactly what I was looking for. Great for aerobic activities in cold weather, they are windproof and hold up to mild snow admirably. Paired with a light liner I was able to hike in 10 degree weather comfortably.
The downsides are the lack of durability and the placing of the stitching at the wrist cuff. It falls in a weird place, not quite on my wrist but more up on my palm. Kind of uncomfortable at first but the rest of the glove more than made up for it until it ripped.
Bottom line, I would not recommend these to a friend at this point in time. It is disappointing to see them fail after such a short amount of time.
