I use this beanie every day whether it's cold in the house or if it's cold outside or cold on the trail. The fleece ear band is perfect. The weave of the fabric is very tightly woven and is wind resistant.

The hat looks and feels great, but the surface of the fabric begins to pill after a few wearings, and starts to look a bit worn way too soon for the price of the hat. It is a shame, as otherwise it is a pretty good hat.
