This is my "third generation" pair of Jungle Mocs, my second generation pair now relegated to light duty work around the house or in my dry bag on kayaking trips. Lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear. Easy on and off, grippy soles, and not too hard on the eyes. I almost went to another brand this time, but price kept me with the Merrells. Compared to similar styles from other brands, Jungle Mocs are relatively inexpensive. Downside of these shoes is the wear factor. Like other Merrell products, they are not as durable as some others, and the stock footbeds have always been an issue for me. I swap them for aftermarket footbeds with excellent results. I noticed that this new pair has a different footbed, so maybe that problem has been solved. Time will tell. Highly recommended for everyday knocking around, or an around the camp comfy shoe.

This is my 3rd or 4th pair; each lasted at least 3 years, and in all cases I replaced a pair with one just like it simply because they were looking "tired" - not because they wore out. I have w-i-d-e feeet, and although this model is always very snug at first, after 3-4 days of wearing them the leather has stretched, conforms to the shape of my foot and feels like a custom-made shoe. Truly remarkable!

These shoes are extremely durable, I love the chameleon-like tread pattern on the sole, and BTW they look pretty snazzy, too. The one drawback: they are not waterproof. I have waterproofed my various pairs with a few different products, but the results were always the same: the shoes' color gets darker (esp. with the Gunsmoke color), and is not as appealing as the out-of-the-box color; the waterproofing is more like water-resistance that fades very quickly, so re-waterproofing is a frequent (and never enjoyable) necessity. [Actually my 1st pair was made of Nubuck, not brushed pigskin, and was almost completely waterproof without any special treatment. Not sure if Merrill makes a Nubuck version now, though...]

Still, these are my all-time favorite shoes until I can afford a pair or two of Limmer boots. They will serve you long and well, look great in the process, and keep your feet connected to whatever slippery surface you're on.

I use this product to slip on and off quickly when I need to go outside in the late Fall and Winter time to do things like walk the dogs, shovel light snow, etc. I purchased this in conjunction NIKWAX Nubuck & Suede Treatment to add water proofing and preserve the product longer. I have not had a chance to test the shoes out in harsh considition so I cannot state how they will perform.

Just received my second pair and same color gunsmoke. Best shoe for every day casual outdoor wear. This is the shoe to take on a trip if you can only take one pair. Can walk all day with these.

Extremely durable, well-made, and comfortable. Last pair lasted at least 12 years, worn most every workday. Had worn tread smooth on the old ones. Just got nice new ones and enjoying the great cushioning, etc.
Only problem: sometimes, especially when new, feet get very hot and I think it might be a reaction to the anti-microbial coating -- others have had this experience.
