This hat worked well on our vacation in Hawaii. It kept the sun off my face and out of my eyes and my head was cooler than when I wore a traditional baseball cap. I wore it to hike in Haleakala National Park and on the beaches of Maui. It survived being crushed and folded in my carry on bag and it cleaned up well after I got it pretty grubby on a number of occasions.
