The major disappointment of this mask is that it doesn't cover the neck, so you should really get the neofleece combo scarf instead, which does. However, the problem can be fixed if you have a balaclava, by putting it around your mask. You may as well wear a neck-gaitor that covers your neck up to your chin, plus a beanie, and then put on the mask. Unfortunately, using the second method is pretty uncomfortable, so buy the combo scarf if you don't have a balaclava.

This winter, I went snowboarding at Jay Peak and it really did a great job protecting my face from frostbite (the snowy winds were very, very strong and freezing). It always felt very dry, it let me breath and it always felt so comfortable! In the middle of the day, I decided to put my mask down just to see if I could bear the cold without it, but no: after one minute, my face automatically felt painful, and once it was on again, there was no problem anymore.

This is wonderful when traveling to cold, windy places (e.g. New England), and also for walking/hiking under same conditions. I do not think it would be good for aerobic because you would breathing right into it, and it would just come back onto your face. It is a wonderful when a balaclava aren't quite necessary, but you don't want exposed skin either. It will fog up your glasses, but so will anything else of this type. It also packs down to almost nothing, and is fairly lightweight.

I bought this mask for my husband, as his cousin snowboards and wears this and was raving about it. My husband wears it for snow plowing and hunting, and loves it. He hates stuff on his face, but does not mind this.

I have the Seirus combo scarf medium. When I ordered the face mask I though medium will be the same. I was wrong, the size is very small may be in part due to the neoprene only vs the 2 materials use in the combo. In summa order at least 1 size above you normal size. Otherwise very nice product and also very easy to pack in your pocket after you warm up.

I really like this product, it's a life saver. My only cons are: there's velcro and my hair!!! I don't want it to rip my hair out. Also, the color. I was really cold on the train and took a nap. Woke up and found this man staring at me. People think I'm a terrorist when I wear this thing, but I'm gonna wear it anyway because it's MY FACE and I want to protect my skin!!!! I just wish maybe they made it more fashionable, like put a flower print on it so I don't look so threatening.

I'm glad to find this on here, because I can't seem to find them at the llocal sporting goods stores anymore. I do wish the inside was neoprene as well as the outside. It seems like the inner material would fluff off after several washes. [...] I'm grateful to have one of these during this particularly cold winter season!

On Mount Marcy the night temperatures were about -10F. The mask was a vital piece of kit, protecting my cheeks, nose, and mouth from the frigid air. It was so comfortable, I even slept with it. During the day, while hiking, it breathed exceptionally well, kept my cheeks and lips from getting windburned, and I felt warm and happy. What more can you ask for?
