I bought these boots about a year ago, and I love them! I use these for light hiking and easy-moderate trails. There was hardly any break-in time, they were comfortable from day 1. We added water repellent spray which also worked wonderfully. They have great ankle support too. The only draw back was the arch support, I have high arches, but it was an easy enough solution- I just bought inserts. Overall-they're great boots!

i have a goretex version and love them... use them all year long even on winter hikes. i needed something that would keep my feet cooler as i'm hiking the Long Trail end-to-end and the non goretex model is perfect. no break-in... good support... fantastic traction. they will also be my summer day hike boot.

I have unbelievable sweaty feet, I can not wear anything with gortex due to that reason. There was no break in period for these boots.This is not a backpack boot, but it's what I wear & love them. Because of that reason they do not hold up as well as a heavy boot. But I'm blister free!! A drop of water instantly soaks in. Give a little take a little.
