Comments about ASOLO Women's Stynger GTX Hiking Boots, Spice:
Lighter in weight than the full leather version, but great for my 12 day backpacking trip in Glacier this July. The heel seemed narrower than some other brands and that helped to hold my heel in place, keeping it blister free. The toe box was roomy and my feet were happy. Break-in time was minimal--a few short hikes in the creek bed, no hills where I live. I did add some gel heel cups, but used the manufacturer's insoles.

Comments about ASOLO Women's Stynger GTX Hiking Boots, Spice:
I knew these were the boots for me when trying them on. Not too heavy, great support and on the trail, great traction and comfortable. I got them in December here in Maine and the cold snowy winter was no problem.

Comments about ASOLO Women's Stynger GTX Hiking Boots, Spice:
I am an avid hiker who fell on Mt Washington 5 years ago while wearing another boot. I asked a female who works on the summit and does rescue work about her boots and she raved about this product. It took me 10 months before I could walk normally and resume hiking ( Mountain climbing ) and I could not believe how wonderful this boot is. No break in period at all. I've never had a blister, toes stay in place and they are comfortable. It took a while for me to "believe and trust" the boot as far as grip. Recently while going through high water I discovered they are waterproof.....I didn't realize and was thrilled as it was a 10 mile 4700' hike. I do notice after 5 years and many many miles that the bottoms are beginning to slip on smooth rock. I guess 5 years is a long time for a boot so I am going to buy another pair!

Comments about ASOLO Women's Stynger GTX Hiking Boots, Spice:
I have had these for about 6 months now and have yet to find a time where these boots have let me down. Living in the northcountry of New York one never knows what the weather will be, but these boots preform in mud, rain, snow, sleet, ice, well you name it basicly. From around town, to the day hikes, to the long packing trips these boots rock! Couldn't ask for a more bomber pair.

Comments about ASOLO Women's Stynger GTX Hiking Boots, Spice:
Not the best boot for winter hiking, my feet get pretty cold easily. Great boot for summer hiking and I do wear them all winter long as my everyday shoe. Best advice would be to make sure you have them broken in before you take them on a real hike, I got some pretty nasty blisters the first time, but I love these boots!

Comments about ASOLO Women's Stynger GTX Hiking Boots, Spice:
I bought these over a year ago for backcountry camping and they are still going strong. I was very worried that I would have to break them in before my weeklong hike but to the contrary these are the first pair of hiking boots that did not require that painful new shoe blister period. They kept my feet nice and dry while stomping thought mud puddles and creeks in Shenandoah. They have good traction and great ankle support for climbing over rocks.

Comments about ASOLO Women's Stynger GTX Hiking Boots, Spice:
I've hiked several hundred miles in these boots and cared for them well, but they started to ship water in snowy or wet terrain after only two years. I was hoping for more from a [$] boot with good reviews.
