Comments about SOREL Women's Caribou Boots:
I bought these for back-country winter camping and snowshoeing and just about anything else I need to do in the winter and have durable, warm and functional footwear. Regular hiking boots just don't stand up to the super cold weather in the mountains in the winter, and these are a dream come true!

Comments about SOREL Women's Caribou Boots:
I had read many reviews about this product. I decided to go into the store and buy a pair. Many people mention that these boots run a little on the bigger side, but that all depends on how you like your boots and what you will be doing with them. I tried them on with my thickest pair of wool socks because I knew I would be using those more often. I ended up buying my true shoe size, because the smaller fit was too constraining. As for the comments about these boots being heavy, that all depends on what you've been wearing your entire life. I come from Canada, so these boots weren't heavy at all compared to the giant Sorels I had when I was a kid. I needed these boots for campus walking and my feet are notoriously cold. These Sorels are perfect and keep me warm and dry.

Comments about SOREL Women's Caribou Boots:
I work with horses in upstate NY so in the winter I need good, heavy and warm boots. Right out of the box these boots are pretty comfortable, my feet stayed dry and warm after an ice storm. They are a heavy boot but who cares if they keep your feet warm and toasty.

Comments about SOREL Women's Caribou Boots:
This boot is extremely sturdy and stiff at first. I'm naturally a cold tempt. person, but I had to get really heavy socks for these boots even though the inside sole is really comfortable because of the cold. I walk on snow and ice with complete ease. I found this to be a true fit size for people with whole shoe sizes. It's a secure snug fit.

Comments about SOREL Women's Caribou Boots:
Hating the cold the first pair of Sorel's came into my life 35 years ago. I out grew them in time but passed them on to my daughter. When I saw them on sale I didn't hesitate to get another pair. It's nice to know that somethings don't change and are as good as you remember. My feet stay toasty warm and dry in the most challenging situations.

Comments about SOREL Women's Caribou Boots:
Caribous meet expectations of heavy outdoor daily use. Made to wear heavy socks. Bought half size smaller than normal because of other reviews, and I would recommend doing that. Perfect fit with medium weight socks.

Comments about SOREL Women's Caribou Boots:
These boots are just about as amazing as they look. They are a bit heavy, but I can't complain too much because I wanted durable, waterproof boots. My parents own a garden center and I help out selling Christmas trees in the winter so I wanted something that would keep my feet warm being outside in the cold for hours on end as well as provide comfort standing all day. These boots do both extremely well.
Every time I take the boots off, the insert comes out with it and is kind of hard to get back in, but I'm sure that will be easier when they are broken in a bit more.
My first pair of Sorel boots, but most definitely not my last.

Comments about SOREL Women's Caribou Boots:
These boots were great! I've used these for clearing the driveway, running around town, and while we were snow tubing! They may not be the prettiest (my husband teases me), but they sure get the job done! They are waterproof and they keep my feet from freezing! The best part was that I didn't spend a bundle on them! I typically wear a size 8 1/2 in heels and my running shoes and bought a size 9 and they fit perfectly.

Comments about SOREL Women's Caribou Boots:
My last pair of Sorrels lasted over 35 years and I'm still wearing them. These will last until I die. They are not great for hiking, but they are not meant to be for hiking. They meant for outdoor winter work. They take a little tugging to get them on and off.
I wear them comfortably all day while cutting brush and working on our farm.
