I was attracted to the stylish faux fur and the waterproof aspects of the boots. The fur sheds alot and is very unatractive on dark clothing. The second day I wore it the outer rivet snap on the right boot fell out. The third day, it rained. There was a leak at the bottom of the left foot and soaked my sock. They are going back.

Unfortunately, I was actually disappointed. I had high hopes but the boots were uncomfortable to walk in. It was almost as if I had just taken skis off and was walking in the ski boots. Perhaps if I had worn thicker socks or something. :o(

I was so sad to find that my larger than normal calf(16 1/2 inches) caused some issues while wearing this boot.
It's a beautiful, well made and warm boot. Sadly it won't work for me.
Give them a try if you have a larger calf. They may fit you better than they did me!

I bought this then returned it. It rubbed uncomfortably around the back of the heel. I think this is because the material is quite hard -I wear my uggs all the time which are super comfy in comparison, but then uggs aren't waterproof like these are. The style is cute but you have to have long thin legs to look good in them otherwise you end up looking short and chunky.

I bought these to replace a 15 year old pair of Sorel Snow Lions that I've had and used A LOT since I was 16. Although I can definitely tell there is a difference in quality, that does not mean the Joan of Arctics dont measure up. They are sturdy, well made and warm. I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 in most shoes. I felt like if anything, my old Sorels (size 9) were a little large, and so decided to order a size down (8). A 9 would have fit fine, and I would have been able to wear thicker socks, but I'm glad I went with an 8. They are easy to walk in, and have enough space to circulate warm air, so I dont feel the need for thick socks. As for their looks, they are stylish enough for casual winter wear. I'm not really the fur wearing type, though, and wish that I was able to remove it to fit better under a pair of snow pants. I'm going to buy another set of felt inserts without the fur so that I can wear them both ways. All in all, a great boot, and I'm hoping to have them just as long as my old pair.

I absolutely adore these boots! Great for outdoor activities in feet of snow (with snowpants over them as they're 12" tall). Keep my feet toasty. I throw them on over leggings or skinny jeans when I'm just out and about during the day. Highly recommend!

Warm and stylish. Quality construction. Good traction. Very lightweight for this style boot. Size allows for heavy winter socks as they run just a little large and wide, no need to order up. I have never worn anything but Sorel boots for our Buffalo NY winters and I am super please with this pair! Would buy again!
