I bought a pair of Keen's Newport sandals to wear on a two-week trip to Italy last summer. They were so comfortable and so versatile that my other footwear stayed in the suitcase the entire time! From walking all over Venice, Florence, and Rome to hiking the hilly trails of the Cinque Terre, these sandals were comfortable all day long - and nice enough to wear out to dinner in the evening. The rubber toe provided great protection in crowded museums and on rocky terrain.

I now own two pairs: one that I keep looking clean for travel, work (including a bike commute on roughly paved trails), and casual wear; the other I treat mecilessly - walking the dog in the mud and rain, heavy gardening work, and trail hiking.

Since I tend to overpronate I typically wear orthotic inserts in my shoes. Obviously, this is not an option with sandals. I have been pleasantly surprised by the support of these Keen Newports, evident in the even wear of the heels.

The neoprene lining can feel warm at times, but this has not been a problem for me in hot weather - and it actually keeps my feet comfortable in cooler weather, even when walking through dew-soaked grass and getting thoroughly wet.

I hope Keen never stops making these superlative sandals!

These are my every day shoes. The soles wear down after 2-3 years of continuous use. They are comfortable to the max for wide footed folks like me.

I am also able to wear them at work in a health care setting as the toes are covered.

I had previous purchased a pair of these with the nylon webbing and they're great for wet conditions. I wanted a pair in leather for casual settings. I think these are great shoes!

These fit great. Whatever your size is, go up a half size. Comfy great summer shoes!

The only complaint is that i had to buy the next size up to fit my width. But these shoes are warm in the water and feel dry as soon as you come out. they are super comfortable and stylish and the full toe portection is great, my wife bought them for me for my birthday and was slightly skeptical at first but became highly impressed!

These sandals are great. I recently replaced a pair that were 5 years old and became my everyday sandal. They are very comfortable, supporting, and durable.

I read these run small. I got a 9.5, a full size larger than I need and I am glad I did. A half size larger would not have cut it and I needed the width.It was tight initally, but with some wear it has loosened up. The cord is sufficient enough to make it fit snugly. I'm looking forward to getting some good use out of these, only had them a few weeks but they haven't disappointed...yet. I like the construction in these, the straps seem integrated with the sole and not just glued on like the Newport H2s. I had a pair of Tevas and they became unglued so I looked for a style that seemed more durable.
