Have many hats of many different brands and Tilley is easily the best brand. In addition, this particular style is their best to date. Mesh vents along top of hat add style and ventilation. Perfect fit and stylish. Keeps sun off face and neck. A beautifully made hat. Top notch.

I was traveling in Costa Rica in sunny and rainy weather. It was great no matter the weather. It has airflow and a hidden pocket to carry id and credit card. It folds for packing. Totally happy with the hat, fit, function and cost. I will bring it on every trip from no on. Highly recommend.

This hat came just in time for the hot & humid weather the Northeast has experienced recently. I've worn it on my way to and from work and pretty much anytime we've had to be outside during the day. The vent definitely helps a lot. The brim is perfect for keeping the sun out of my eyes. The only downside is that it is not easy to pack.

Be very careful with sizing the hat if bought on-line OR in store. Tilley recommends (and I agree after having to exchange the hat) that TWO fingers should be able to easily fit in between the hat band and forehead for a comfortable fit.

I bought this hat for sun protection for a Grand Canyon rafting trip. It is the best of all the hats I have worn on several GC rafting trips. The sun protection, ventilation and comfort are excellent. The straps make it possible to keep it on during the windy days on the river. It can be rolled up in your luggage or dry bag and washed, all without losing shape. I wear it hiking and around town during the hottest days of summer. I was hesitant to buy it because of the high price, but now feel it is worth every cent. The other great feature is that it is sized which means it fits!

I love Tilley's hats and DH and I own 4 so far. They stay on your head when the wind is blowing, keep the sun out of your eyes and off your head. They look stylish for casual wear, and are great for walking, hiking, or just hanging around. Durable, washable, water repellent -not to mention the added SPF protection - what more can I say
