Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Fast Mountain Wick Dry Liner Socks:
I thought these were the same as the pairs I bought about 10 years ago from EMS, back when I lived in Massachusetts. WRONG. The 'new' sock are a rougher weave and shorter. They don't work at all for me. I'm sick of the way formally great, reliable companies are cutting their quality. I won't order again from EMS.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Fast Mountain Wick Dry Liner Socks:
On me (5'8", 30" inseam) these liners come up to just below the knees. The elastic content almost guarantees that they'll cling to my feet and provide a surface that slides against the outer sock. These socks do that tenfold better than the smartwool liner socks at half the price. I walk a five mile route with hills 2-3 times per week with a 35-39 lb pack. The short term verdict on these socks is 5*.
The jury is still out on durability. More on that later, if I remember.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Fast Mountain Wick Dry Liner Socks:
Exactly what wicking liners are supposed to be: inexpensive, lightweight, and wicking. Pair 'em with some nice wool socks and you can't go wrong.

The amount of elastic and stretch is a pleasant surprise, can wear for warmth or friction reduction under hiking/ski socks or knee-length dress socks.

Bought these based on price. They seemed at first to be thicker than other liners I have which concerned me but these worked fine. Comfortable. Ample length.

I always wear these, especially on longer hikes. From 10-20 miles with full packs, I've never gotten a blister with these worn under regular hiking socks. Seem to wear pretty well too.
