Comments about Fox River EMS XStatic Sock Liners:
I have a bunch of EMS Fast Mountain Wick Dry liner socks, so I can compare to them. The XStatics are a little thicker, not as stretchy and tend to bunch up under my feet more. They do seem to keep my feet warmer, though. Overall, I prefer the Fast Mountains, which feel like you're wearing nothing. I'd recommend the XStatics to someone looking for a little more warmth and no stretch.

Comments about Fox River EMS XStatic Sock Liners:
I wear Fox River liners on all of my ruck marches, and I have yet to get a blister or hot-spot, even in boots that would normally cause them on distance road marches. Definitely recommended for anyone going on hikes/backpacking and carrying heavy loads.

Comments about Fox River EMS XStatic Sock Liners:
* Used product on 5-day canoeing/camping/hiking trip in the BWCA, MN
* Product did a decent job of wiking moisture away from my feet when they got wet.
* Product dries relatively quickly in the sun
* The product fits a little tight, but I think that is by design, to help wick moisture away
* Product also provides decent insulation in 30 - 40 F temperatures

Comments about Fox River EMS XStatic Sock Liners:
I use these liners for ice skating where a very thin sock is essential. I skate outdoors in the winter and they keep my feet warm. I wear wool liners on the coldest days but I am not sure if the wool ones are any warmer than these. I also use them for indoor skating. They seem to regulate temperature well. All in all a great sock for ice skating and hockey.

Theese would be great, except for the very tight elastic top.

Comments about Fox River EMS XStatic Sock Liners:
I've worn these for short hikes in cool weather under medium-weight Smartwool, and for a one-week Grand Canyon loop under lightweight Smartwool in Goretex lined boots. Things got a little mushy on the GC trip, and the very thick toe seam (relative to the fabric thickness) gave me some nasty blisters on the tops of my toes. I wound up wearing the socks upside-down to put the seams under my toes and survided the climb on the last day.
I've gone back to my Patagoinia merino/capilene liners, which have a very flat/smooth/thin seam.

Comments about Fox River EMS XStatic Sock Liners:
I used them on a day of ice climbing.I couldnt even tell I had them on. My feet didnt stay any warmer but they stayed dryer. It was about 35 out. I used a pair of rental boots that my feet didnt like. However I didnt get any hot spots or blisters, Even with heel lift and the boot digging into my achillies tendon. I had them paired with a pair of Darn Tough Mountainerring socks, also recomended.

Comments about Fox River EMS XStatic Sock Liners:
I was looking for thicker liners for my wool socks for winter work conditions. I purchased them based on other reviews but they are not that thick. Actually they are just your basic sock liners for hiking purposes. Great for light or mid-weight hiking, but not what you need when working outside all day during freezing conditions.
