Comments about BYER TriLite Folding Stool:
The stool works well on pavement but does not look suitable for uneven ground.
I worry about the plastic wands that spread the seat breaking if someone sits on it heavy and don't see a 200-pounder sitting on it.
You need to be careful when attaching and detaching the seat or it will grab flesh resulting in a blood blister.
It is small enough and light enough that I throw it in my backpack when I am heading out to do sidewalk astronomy.
It is good for what it is as long as you are remain aware of it's limitations.
I much prefer the seat on this stool to the triangular seats.

Comments about BYER TriLite Folding Stool:
This stool seat was much narrower than I expexted. The tripod legs did not open very wide, so the stool was shaky to sit on. I absolutely cannot imagine some weighing 200 lbs - the stool's maximum weight - sitting on this.

Comments about BYER TriLite Folding Stool:
CONS: Tips from time to time, so watch where you park it. PROS: Everything else. It's small, light, and sturdy. We kayaked the Potomac River and camped in trailer parks, primitive sites, and campgrounds. This chair worked out well everywhere there was solid ground. When space and weight are at a premium, this chair hits the mark. Not perfect, but darn good.
