Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT The Kitchen Sink, 10 L:

The basin doesn't support itself very well unless it is nearly full of water so if your using it somewhere where your trying to conserve water it isn't that great, but if water is abundant and you can fill it up all the way everytime you use it, it would probably work well.

Nice size sink. I do dishes for a family of 4 + 1, and this sink fits all of my dishes. Easy for my 12 yr old to fill & carry. One strange point to mention is that as it sits, full with water, all who see it MUST poke it...Adult or child, they all poke it, and it hasn't spilled yet!!

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT The Kitchen Sink, 10 L:

I used the sink to carry water to our campsite for cooking and to wash dishes. It's true...it is more stable when full of water, so it's obviously more practical in an environment where water is readily available (which um...wouldn't be a desert).

If you place this on a level surface away from things you wouldn't want to get wet, it serves its purpose well. It's a room saver, it's a big plus.

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT The Kitchen Sink, 10 L:

I took this out for a weekend hiking in the mountains. I took a little joking when I broke out the kitchen sink, but it worked great. It's a little tricky to figure out how to fold back into the small storage sack, but nothing to be feared. The sink's a little unstable when you don't fill it all the way up. It's incredibly durable, very easy to clean, and made cleaning up around camp MUCH easier. Now the jokesters in the group are also proud owners of The Kitchen Sink. Well worth it!

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT The Kitchen Sink, 10 L:

As several reviewers have said, when less than full the sides don't retain their height, meaning water can easily leak over the edge. When full, however, it really keeps its shape. As such, make sure you get one that's the right size. The 10L is about 11" across and 5-6" deep. Other than over the sides, it retains water very well, and compresses nicely.

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT The Kitchen Sink, 10 L:

Our way of camping usually with a small open boat (<80ft) or a car and a 2p tunneltent.

we used it primarily as a sink - indeed in places where water was plenty (like lakes or state parks). Agree with the previous reviewer that when there is not much water, the sink is rather unstable.

We are however rather positive about it. We usually do not take a bucket with us, because it so bulky (in addition to the set of lightweight camping pans and the water container). When doing the dishes in a pan, the pan is usually too small for plates and cutlery.

For our level of comfort, a bucket would be handy to do a quick laundry wash, or the dishes. This sink was for us a durable and compact solution. The self-support depends indeed on the level of water, hence when the water-level becomes too low, (like <7 liters) the 10l sink becomes rather unstable. But on the shore of a lake this is not an issue.
