After fooling around with water-stones you have to soak and have real knife sharpening skills to use, I came across one of these [...]and gave it a try. It worked so well it was almost scary: a few pulls across the coarse rods and then the same number across the fine ones and my knives went from 'annoying' to 'can cut patterns in paper' in a process that took less than a minute per blade.The only thing I might carp about is its compact form-factor: it is a very small doo-hickey and you have to hold your hands a little close to where you are dragging the blades while you use it. Aside from that one thing, it is one of the best gadgets I've ever seen.

Every hunter's must have pocket tool. Keeps my knife sharp as a razor in seconds. I keep one in my Hunting coat and my tackle box as well as my knife drawer in my kitchen. If you've ever skinned a deer or cleaned a fish, you will want to own one of these.

works great on smaller knives and leatherman type tools. Haven't tried it on anything larger, but I am sure it will do the job.

Good tool work well and I would tell others to purchase it, Its simple and small for easy storage in hunting pack. I want something small and light and this fits the bill.

Amazing! I bought it to sharpen my new buck knife. It got into working condition in 4 strokes. I kept sharpening and after 15 strokes it could easily cut through cardboard with light pressure. I highly recomend this to anyone with a knife.

this is a very good sharpener. i did it in the car and it sharpened my knife in just a few strokes.
