Comments about THULE 887XT Slipstream Kayak Rack:
With my old rack I had to put a rug on the back of my SUV to slide th kayak off the back and it would often slip off the side of the rug and fall to the ground. Now, two releases, slide the whole rack back over the spoiler and role that baby right off. Couldn't be easier.

This is a good product just alittle hard to slide. On my Honda Crv when you open the back hatch it hits the roller. Also on this car you have to keep removing and installing the antenna.

Comments about THULE 887XT Slipstream Kayak Rack:
I normally kayak by myself and have a SUV (Highlander). Trying to get a 15' 50 lb kayak on top of my rack without ruining the finish on my truck was impossible by myself. But with the Slipstream, it's a breeze as it extends to the back of the roof when unlocked, and I simply put the end of the kayak on the roller, lift the other end and slide it on. Same ease taking it off. The ratcheting tie downs are great, especially with the carbiner hooks. The straps are great too with rubber buckle protectors. We also bought one for my wife's CRV for the same reasons.

Comments about THULE 887XT Slipstream Kayak Rack:
The pull out roller is perfect. It makes rolling my kayak easier while protecting the back of my SUV especially when I have to lift it up myself. One note for everyone, when you tie down the kayak make sure you attach it to the square bar that the arms are attached to and not the factory cross bar.
