Comments about THE NORTH FACE Tadpole 23 Tent:
My 2 sons will be going to Philmont Scout Ranch and the tent is prefect weight for the hike, but floor space was smaller then we thought.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Tadpole 23 Tent:
this is my first north face tent. I live in upstate NY and we went out in early Febuary. It was about 8 degrees when I set up, set up is easy, self explanatory, it would be very tight for two people but one person has plenty of room. collapses small and is light weight, the mesh ceiling without the fly is very nice and appears to circulate the air well.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Tadpole 23 Tent:
this is my most used tent. i used it in florida for 30 nights straight without an issue. i use it up here in the northeast during winter and the tent has held up nicely. the tadpole is made for two people but it is best suited for one person. one person will have plenty of room in this tent. at 4lbs 10ozs the weight is a little much but that is really not an issue. overall the tadpole 23 does its job and does it well.i can only give it a 4 star rating due to the weight....

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Tadpole 23 Tent:
Got the Tadpole at an EMS sale in 2006. While I was initially satisfied the rainfly started falling apart last year and now leaks along every seam. I did my best to dry out the tent after every use and do proper tent care, but I only got about 8 trips out of the tent. Next tent I buy will not be from the North Face.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Tadpole 23 Tent:
This lightweight backpacking tent sets up quickly and easily. The three pole design is perfect because of the incredible stability the extra pole makes. I have been in terrible weather conditions, including rain, snow, and strong winds. This tent will withstand really poor weather conditions due to its low profile and three pole design.

Merchant response: We’re disappointed and surprised to hear the North Face Tadpole started to leak after 8 trips. The Tadpole like most tents come factory seam sealed. The coatings used are durable and usually last for years depending on use and exposure. You will need to retreat any tents seams with seam sealer at some point, but certainly not after 8 uses. In any case feel free to call us in Customer Service at 888.463.6367 if we can assist you in any way.
