Comments about MAMMUT Infinity Dry Rope, 9.5 mm x 60 m:
This rope has a great hand right out of the wrapper. Lives up to it's impact force rating well, and catches everything beautifully from tiny slips to rad whippers. Tends to fray a little early, but heavy use on rough granite can do that to any rope. Dry treatment is still beading water, even after a almost a year of considerable use. Don't be deterred by the price, this rope is worth every penny. Plus, the orange is angry fierce.

Comments about MAMMUT Infinity Dry Rope, 9.5 mm x 60 m:
I have only been using this rope for a few weeks, but in total that makes about 10 days of use so far. I was accustomed to using 10+mm workhorse ropes before this one, so it is to them that I'm making a comparison.
This rope is so very light, and it just glides. Pulling it up through draws to clip is so easy. While climbing with it, it feels effortless, and doesn't drag me down at all. Plus, it handles so well--no kinks, no twisting, no stiff tangles. The middle is marked with two black dye stripes by Mammut. My friend took a fall or two on it and said that the catches were fairly soft; I haven't taken any big falls on it so I can't speak as to that.
I use a tubular belay device, and even with that I'd say be a little careful the first time you lower someone, because the rope slips through faster than you'd expect.
I really, really love this rope, and I'm looking forward to it lasting a long time.
One note: I thought I was going to get an orange rope per the picture, but the one I received must be the updated color, which is an attractive blue ("Ocean" according to Mammut). It has the Mammut CoatingFinish (the Teflon coating).

Comments about MAMMUT Infinity Dry Rope, 9.5 mm x 60 m:
Fantastic on it's first climb outdoors, easy to handle, great through the belay device. Nice feel. Everyone asked how thick this rope is, 9.5. Didn't need a thick rope to do the job that this one was handling.

Comments about MAMMUT Infinity Dry Rope, 9.5 mm x 60 m:
I'm a rock climber, and have mostly used this rope for sport climbing (as well as a few trad/ multipitch routes). This rope is a perfect all-arounder. It's thin, but not TOO thin. So it's light, but isn't difficult to belay with, and doesn't wear out quickly. A major perk of this rope is that it stays supple with age. I've had many Infinity 9.5 ropes, and they've never, ever gotten any weird thick or thin spots, or worn strangely. Obviously, they do wear out eventually - but in a very predictable, visible way. Everyone who belays with it comments about how nice it feels...

Comments about MAMMUT Infinity Dry Rope, 9.5 mm x 60 m:
I did a lot of research before buying, and this rope is always very highly rated. So far, I'm very happy. Although the sheath is a little rough and can rope burn sensitive hands easily, it is undoubtedly everything I was looking for - durable, light, stiff enough to clip well but supple enough to handle nicely. Doesn't knot easily, and stays cleaner and dryer than most ropes. Highly recommended.
