        smaller gate than average, but once i got used to it it doesn't detract away from the product. because of the small gate, it can partially lock itself easier than other products and isn't great if you need to clip something quickly.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        I bought this to use as a lightweight belay biner. The gate opening is noticably smaller than an Attache or Bionic Mythos and makes loading the belay device a bit harder, especially when rappelling on a 10.5 rope. It's an okay biner if you're a weight-weenie, but I went back to my big honkin' Bionic Mythos.
