      This is a great locker for belaying and rappelling. The rope runs smoothly through the wide curve, the locking action is easy & smooth.

      I was replacing a worn Jake (105g) auto locker. This has much the same feel but is significantly lighter (78g).

        I got this carabiner primarily to use as a locking biner for belaying. However, since that time, I've used it for multiple purposes. It's surprisingly large and "roomy," therefore making it great for multipitch climbing (as a central anchor point), rigging, bolting, whatever... it functions really well; the gate and locking component both move smoothly and easily. For how large it is, it's also very light.

          I bought this when I visited the store in Lancaster, PA. I used it for my safety harness when using my climbing tree stand to hunt. Very thankful for this Carabiner by Marmot. It made snapping in so much easier and quieter. The original carabiner was a screw in model and hard to manipulate with gloves on in cold weather.

          I liked it so much that I mentioned it to my hunting buddies. (They immediately commented on how they would like to have one). So this Christmas they all get one.

          Inexpensive.
          Great gift for someone.
          Ease of use aids in safety.
          I feel more secure knowing it is quality.

              This product opens very nicely and the large space between the gate and the bit makes it easy to get around your rope and gear. The gate opens smoothly and easily, yet is solid when the gate snaps closed. A very good 'biner, and a great find. Not to mention that this is one of the best-looking carabiners on the market!
