I wanted to update my review posted earlier this season. EMS was right, BD did fix my boots under warranty, and I've just finished day 49 on the boots with no problems. Skied them hard and they charge like no other AT boot. I am now a converted fan of the Factors.

Very comfortable boot, and skis well. Walk mode is great especially with hiking sole. Day four skiing them on intermediate slope, and ski/walk switch broke sending them into walk mode. Very unsettling to think I could have been in the trees or headwall at Tuckermans really pushing it and have this failure. I hope BD has an upgrade/ redesign or I'm out big bucks!

This boot gets it done. The boot is stiff enough to charge chutes and couliors no problem but soft enough to take on extended day tours. I use this boot on the resort all the time and find it more than sufficient for that. Cuff on me seems to fit lower than my alpine boots.
