This chalk bag performs great while climbing, and it is easy to get at the chalk inside. It also has a fuzzy, super-soft strip of cloth inside that is perfect for dusting your hands. I do not use a chalk sock, and therefore the only downside I have found is that it does not cinch completely closed when you are not using it, and so the chalk can spill out if the bag is tilted upside-down. I remedy this by putting a little "hat" on it that I made myself, a simple nylon square with the outer edge folded over a cord and sewn down to make a drawstring hat, which I place over the top of the bag and cinch tight. This would not be a problem at all if you use a chalk sock, but I have found that they hardly ever give you enough powder to be useful.

I was a little upset with the fact I couldn't chose a color for my chalk bag on the online order form. I would have even liked to chose a second and third choice. The picture was black, and it came purple. I saw that it said assorted, but I didn't see anywhere to pick a color.
