My buddy had has one of these and it works great. So I decided to buy one for myself. I fell a few times from about 4ft onto my butt, no problem when you land on it. Also ditched a problem dropped about 8ft onto my feet. The pad has two layers of padding, one hard, and one soft. It gives a nice balance betweem firmness and softness so you dont bust an ankle. It weighs roughly 9 pounds and has a pretty good surface area. Im a little concerened about the shoulder straps stiching after crashing alot on it but I think it'll be ok. The Impact is a great deal, it costs much less than other pads and works just as good.

I have this pad for awhile now, and it does the job. I have used it alot and it takes everything I have thrown at it.Its been soaked in rain and mud, I washed it with a hose and put in the sun for half a day and it looks brand new! My friends and I have taken big falls on this pad, and have come out safe and sound. I gave this 4 stars just cause its a smaller pad and I believe its not for beginners who don't have the exp. to spot their landing. I like this pad and will beat and abuse it, if it fails in anyway I will write a new review and let you guys know.

I have had this pad for a while now and have been bouldering on it constinly. Even though this bad is smaller it still profomes. The foam can withstand anything and it is easy to travel with. Wether you use this pad for everyday climbing or just to bring when you travel you will be impressed.

Good thick pad, easy to carry, very portable straps are comfortable on back. Best part is that there is no visible break(valley or seam)between the pad when you open it up giving you a larger surface area to "crash on". I looked at other pads that literally had two halfs with a seam in the middle or had an extra sheet that went across the top to cover the seam which I think would be cumbersome to carry and worthless at padding your fall.
