Bought this because I thought I had lost my other ski strap (fortunately not) and thought this a nice looking replacement. However, tightening it down to hold you skis together it does not like to slide over its own buckle. Once you get it tight it will hold just fine, but tightening it is a struggle WITHOUT gloves.

These straps work OK with my mid fats but are really too short to use with my Icelantic Nomads. Forget about using gloves if you're trying to put them on wide skis. Mine are DEFINITELY NOT 18 inches long. Maybe they make more than one length? These would be great to keep the tips together while A-framing my skis on my pack going up the booter but they were too short and I ended up fighting with them with frozen fingers. I might give it to my son....his skis are narrower.
