Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Nepal Evo GTX Mountaineering Boots:
very difficult to find a good crampon fit given the "low profile" boot design. The heel has been too narrow to securely fit into several different crampons I have tried - still looking

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Nepal Evo GTX Mountaineering Boots:
Great boots - wore them up rainier with no blisters. They're not warm enough for anything more however unless you bring extra dry socks and swap out at the summit since they're not very breathable. Also, the laces came untied (from gaiters?) so I'm glad I checked them before we descended. Overall, a great investment.

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Nepal Evo GTX Mountaineering Boots:
I've used this book on winter hikes and it performs well with microspikes. I am planning to climg Mount Hood in June and I am searching for crampons that will fit this boot. Most crampons seems to we to wide for the heel fit.

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Nepal Evo GTX Mountaineering Boots:
This boot gave me my first ever bout of plantar faceitis. VERY painful on the soles of my feet! Cleared up after a couple of months. Also, these boots are NOT meant for standing around camp in the winter. Definitely not warm enough, AND, the entire boot has to go into sleeping bag because there are no liners! Not fun!!!

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Nepal Evo GTX Mountaineering Boots:
These boots are great for keeping your feet warm. I bought about a half-size larger than I'd normally buy (size 7 in street shoes, size 7.5 in running shoes, size 39 Nepals), but I did so on purpose to accommodate a nice, thick mountaineering sock. This is the only pair of boots that my feet haven't gone numb in while climbing. The toebox is much roomier than the Kayland or Scarpa boots that I've tried.
The included extra tongue is a nice addition for better fit and warmth.
The impact brake system on the sole gives me much better traction on approaches and especially on downhill hikes back to the car.
So far my only issue is that it can take some extra time to get the laces tightened, but I'd bet that will get easier as the boots break in a little more.
I love these boots. I would recommend them over and over to any woman looking for a boot for ice climbing.

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Nepal Evo GTX Mountaineering Boots:
One day of use too break in the ankle support and these boots immediately became the most comfortable, useful technical boot I have ever purchased. They are warm, offer amazing support, feel like a custom fit, look great and basically exceed any of my expectations. I will be giving them a major test run soon when I backpack the High Peaks Region of the Adirondacks in New York State. My local test runs have been spectacular. I trust these boots to take good care of my feet on my trip.

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Nepal Evo GTX Mountaineering Boots:
This is a great boot for winter approaches and ice climbing. I live in Montana where it gets really cold, and these boots keep my feet as warm as anything else. After a few hours of walking in them I start to get hot spots on the back of my heels, but all-in-all they're comfortable for approaches as well as climbing. With an insole or something added for extra support they would be ideal.

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Nepal Evo GTX Mountaineering Boots:
I bought this boot specifically for ice climbing. It was perfect. Snug without being too tight, my feet stayed perfectly warm with a wool sock. The laces are great...they actually stay taut. I also own the La Sportiva Trango..a much lighter boot which I also love, but these are perfect for cold weather activities.
