Comments about LA SPORTIVA Nago Climbing Shoes:

Very comfortable once they stretch to your feet after a few uses. I can wear them for a few hours without wanting to peel them off after each climb. I find the rubber to be sticky along the edges and toes but the soles are too slick for effective smearing/grip on flat footed, large holds. not ideal for bouldering but decent for more relaxed climbs.

Note: the first pair showed up with one of the tongues detached from the shoe so I returned it for a new pair. That pair had issues with the rubber from the sole peeling apart from the edge rubber along one of the toes after just a few climbs. I returned that pair too. the third pair is doing fine so far. I probably won't get these again but will keep them and re-sole for trad/long gym sessions when I don't want to worry about being uncomfortable.

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Nago Climbing Shoes:

I use for indoor rock climbing. It should stretch a little which is fine cause it a tight fit, getting slightly uncomfortable after an 1hr or so of climbing. I do where a very thin running sock with. Feels comfortable w/o socks except at the front sides. the shoe does bleed a little, too. Sole feels little slick and hoping fades after they get scuffed up enough. Overall happy with and would recommend.

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Nago Climbing Shoes:

This shoe is not for everyone, I have normal width and size feet and had trouble getting the right fit (between comfort and preciseness). I spent about 4 hours with them in the gym and was let down. They do not edge well (sole is floppy and shoe lacks overall stiffness) and the rubber is not very sticky. They turned my feet red which is not a big deal however the stitching on the heels rubs and caused matching blisters on each of my ankles. They are a well made (made in Italy) shoe and will maybe work for some people but I was not impressed with their overall performance. When it was all said and done I returned them for a pair of 5.10 coyotes which I think are an all around better beginners shoe.

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Nago Climbing Shoes:

Nice looking shoe. I tried these once and had to return them for something else. It was hard for me to size down enough for the shoe to be effective. I thought i was successful but i could not edge well with the Nago's, they are too floppy at the toe an the laces do not go down low enough to tighten for a secure fit. They will dye your feet red and maybe give you matching blisters on each heel too. I am not saying to stay away from these shoes but they did not work for me. I bought the 5.10 Coyotes and I feel like they address the problems i had with the Nagos. La Sportiva is a great company and the fact that they still manufacture gear in Italy impresses me (as i do my best to not buy things made in china).

this was my first shoe and so far so good, aside from turning my feet red (material bleeds when wet).
the first few climbs the shoes felt slick when trying to smear but now seems good.

I got these shoes for christmas and they are just asome! The first time I used them, I was just doing some small bouldering. They worked great because when you get your heel up high, the amount of rubber can hook or stick on the rock like a bomber! The next time i used them, i was in a climbing gym, and when I used the rental shoes I simply couldn't do routes because of the old, lousy rubber. After I got these shoes, the routes got a heck of a lot easier. I absolutly love these shoes, as will you. BUY THEM!

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Nago Climbing Shoes:

I have been using these shoes for about a month of 3 times a week indoor gym climbing; Both for bouldering and top roping.

I wear about a 10.5 street shoe (size 10 slip on vans) and I got these in a 9.5. If I had it to do again, I might like to try them a half size smaller. There has been a slight bit of stretching in the heel, and the shoes should be quite tight for best traction. However, as is, the shoes are more than comfortable for the 2 hour sessions I usually do.

The shoes are holding up well. I don't find the rubber to be super grippy, but it is adequate. The biggest downside is that after climbing in them barefoot, they dye my feet red after every climb! After a month, it doesnt show any signs of stopping anytime soon.

All in all, solid beginner/all day shoe. I found them more comfortable than similar shoes. I.E. Coyotes, etc.

so i wrote a review saying how much i loved the shoes and that i was about to buy a second pair, bought the second pair a half size smaller. I originally had size 40 and went down to 39 and a half, although my new pair worn on like one five pitch climb, they are now already looser and feel like a size 41. Not happy. they are still a great shoe accept that now i cant even use them.

I have had these shoes now for about a year, and I love the heck out of them. Got them resoled a little over a month ago, with the same rubber, and am about to send them back in. Also about to buy another pair for my backup shoes. No complaints for crack climbing or face, all day climbs or sessions at the boulders. The only complaint I have is that as others stated they do stretch, mostly at the heel, so my makes fart noises but it doesnt effect the performance, although i can feel my foot sliding during heel hooks. All round great shoe, i got 41.5 (Im a size 9.5) next time im going for the 41.
