Comments about SCARPA Feroce Climbing Shoes:
These are really solid shoes that grab your feet hard. The Toebox has a lip that holds your big toe in place. Warning: this feature is cool, but takes some getting used to. I would try this one on in store, it doesn't feel like most shoes. They are the kind of shoes I can climb hard in for a bit, but its a relief when I finally rip them off my feet. In the long run, its a little more technical than I need, but I do like them I would probably suggest them. I would say, if you want something technical, but the toebox is weird for you, try the Vapor V- I have a pair of them that I love.

Comments about SCARPA Feroce Climbing Shoes:
This shoe is great for sport climbing / bouldering. I've always worn trad climbing shoes (like La Sportiva's Mythos) because I could never find an arched sport shoe that didn't kill my feet. My toes just couldn't stand being rolled tight like a fist and bear any weight. Based on comments from other websites, I decided to give these Scarpa Feroce's a try. I wear a 10.5 street shoe and ordered the 43.5 size. Fits like a glove. A little tight, but just right. The toe area is cupped slightly to follow the curvature of the toes and creates a sort of 'pocket' (like the other reviewer mentioned). I immediatly thought it was a cool feeling and I new I had finally found a sport shoe that I could actually wear! Like the other reviewer said, these are not all day shoes. I have to slip my heals out between climbs, otherwise my toes start to hurt. They are also not intended for slabby or flat climbing routes with lots of tiny foot chips to stand on (not for my feet anyway). Slight overhangs, or more, are fine.

Comments about SCARPA Feroce Climbing Shoes:
i wear a 9.5 US, which is about a 43.5 EU, i believe. i cannot fit a 41.5 feroce, but i squeezed my heel into a 42, which over the period of a month allowed me to stretch it to fit my feet to tight / snug. i can boulder just fine without them tightened. so they do stretch length and width, but not tremendously.
this shoe has a lot of great fitment benefits. one being the little pocket the toes sit in that secure any kind of lateral movement of the foot, especially if you tend to have sweaty feet. another is the solid fit - this is not a floppy shoe. it's fairly rigid in the arch and especially the toe area - the sole is thick and stiff. the velcro allows for a really comfortable fit.
the break-in period is pretty painful. the leather edge jams into my ankle for a couple weeks. the shoe requires me to position my toes before putting the heel on instead of just slipping the entire foot in like other shoes. it has to be right.
like i rated, it's great for bouldering and occasional top-roping. but it's not a shoe i could imagine myself wearing all day, as it's pretty uncomfortable after an hour. id have to slip them off, let the feet un-throb, and put them back on. outdoors they're great - just dont expect to have them comfortably on for the entire day, unless you didnt get them as snug as mine are
