The attachment to the front fork worked okay the first time except the fender could easily be pushed out of alignment.
When I tried to reinstall the attachment it just broke. I didn't want to bother with sending it back and waiting a replacement so I rigged my own attachment with a metal nut and some Goop glue.
Really needs better anchor point to the bike.

Installing should be a breeze but I have an old trek 820 so I had to do some metalwork and adjust the front column attachment to fit around the brakes.

Came loose the first time I installed it on my wife's Trek 6000. I noticed that there are 3 ears/dogs/prongs that lock it in place so the second time I installed it, I tightened the screw enough to insure a snug fit with all 3 ears/dogs/prongs equally spaced and aligned. I then inserted it into the column, gently tightened it and it hasn't come loose again. Be sure not to over tighten the screw as it will surely break if you do.
Fenders remove easily for transport/storage. Due to the drought here, my wife hasn't been riding in any wet areas to know how well the fenders protect.

I got this to protect my face from the water my front tire kicks up while riding roads and trails. Not only does it do this, but the back half has kept water from splashing up to and then off of my downtube and onto my pants. Basically, it's a front fender that does its job.
However, after its initial assembly it was out of alignment. The plastic piece that connects the front and back pieces of the fender to the fork didn't initially align the front and back halves of the fender properly, leaving only part of the front wheel covered by the fender. Numerous tries at bending it into shape have finally gotten it aligned right. It was initially an inconvenience, but one that is not difficult to resolve.

Thought it might be helpful to someone...This does not fit the 2011 MArin Alpine. Had to return it. The "Crud" tube-type seems to work however.
