        This lock weighs almost nine pounds. That's too heavy for everyday cycling or touring. I sent it back and bought something lighter.

          This is a well made and very strong lock. However, it weighs almost nine pounds. My touring bike, with pedals and a rack, only weighs 25 pounds. I returned the lock and bought a lighter version. This might be a good choice for locking bike for extended periods in a high crime area or else using for a scooter.
