I've been using headlamps for over 15 years, and have used many of them. I've had this one for about a year. This little light is like walking into the darkest forest with the sun on your head, lighting the way. Night truly turns into day. The entire headlamp (including batteries) weighs not much more then the 4AA batteries that power some other headlamps. I will be adding rechargeable batteries to it as it can cost up to as much as $15 for every pair of the regular lithium ones. Up to a week of use in the summer to 2 to 3 days in the winter of usable battery life when i use it.

The performance on this headlamp is exceptional and the battery life is great, but it doesn't used standard AA or AAA batteries which is a pain.

Excellent headlamp... I own 3 headlamps and this is by far my favorite. The Petzel Tikka2 (model with the 4 bulbs) is also good, but this baby really provides fantastic light and the one I'd prefer to be on the trial with-- though I always take 2 (one for backup).
