Poor design getting the batter in.
I gave up, my wife gave up and the store clerk kept dropping the battery. One drop ... lost in the snow

Comments about PRINCETON TEC Amp 3.0 LED Flashlight:
I have yet to get the LED flashlight to operate! Battery installation is fiddly and not very well shown on the User Manual page. The batteries seem loose (longitudinally) and rattle around when the body of the flashlight is shaken. As I say, I have yet to get it to operate! I purchased it in Canada and can not easily return it for refund. I would not recommend this model flashlight.

Comments about PRINCETON TEC Amp 3.0 LED Flashlight:
I have been through a lot of flashlights and the Princeton TEC is by far the most reliable and durable flashlight I have ever used! I've had it for 2 years and after heavy use shows no sign of its lights going out (of course I've had to change the batteries every once in a while). In addition, it is compact and it stands up against any harsh weather.

Comments about PRINCETON TEC Amp 3.0 LED Flashlight:
I think that for the price this flashlight is great! I don't know if other people thought they were getting a surfire, but overall I think price wise your getting a great deal. As far as complaints about the operation of the light, the others might not be able to read it was very well explained.

Comments about PRINCETON TEC Amp 3.0 LED Flashlight:
This is a poorly designed flashlight. The 4 AAA batteries are not held in place very well so installation is awkward and tedious. The on/off switch has to be held for 2 seconds to power off the light which is annoying (the previous review above might not have realized this). In addition the on/off button is very small and difficult to operate, impossible with gloves on. I am hoping to exchange this light for something better.

Comments about PRINCETON TEC Amp 3.0 LED Flashlight:
It shuts off by itself regularly if its jarred. Sometimes even a slight drop will make it turn off. It sounds like the batteries are loose, but I've tried tightening it, no effect. I returned it after several months and exchanged it for another one and it does the same thing. I just exchanged it for an Inova to try that. EMS was excellent in providing an exchange for something I picked up quite a while ago.

Comments about PRINCETON TEC Amp 3.0 LED Flashlight:
While it doesn't suck, and performs ok. The design of it is poor. First time I had to ever look at instructions to get the batteries in properly. The Switch is annoying small, and I don't like that you have to hold it down for a couple seconds to get it to power off.
And for some reason mine only came with three batteries, not the four it needs. weird.

Comments about PRINCETON TEC Amp 3.0 LED Flashlight:
The package contained leaky batteries which was the first mess I had to deal with. Once I wiped everything down and replaced the batteries, the on/off switch did not work. The flashlight now rests somewhere in a NYC dump(of course w/o batteries)
