I wish there came instructions with this kickstand.
With the retro kit, it needs to be mounted differently, with
the screw entering from the bottom, and I needed a trip to the
store to be told this.
I also wish that the rubber tip were part of the kit.
As it is now, it is too long for hard ground, but I am afraid
to saw it off, since then it becomes too short for soft ground.

I wanted to put a kickstand on my mountain bike. I just got tired of proping it up against trees and rocks. Okay, call me a wuss! Years ago I put a Greenfield on my road bike and it was perfect, but I was not sure this stand would fit in the tight space available and over the thick tubes. What a great surprize. It fit perfectly and the notched out sections make sure that the mounting plate does not touch any of the cables, etc. How could you ever beat this price? Excellent value.
