Purchased this map to use on a winter summit of Mt Marcy. Discovered quickly (in the snow) that the map is not even the slightest bit waterproof and it tore the first time I opened it on the trail. Very disappointing!

This was a gift for an avid mountain climber from Scotland. The map came with a price tag stuck directly to the front..not usually the case with online orders. I was very disappointed as it did not come off and got worse as I tried.

This map is great if you buy the book as well because it has numbered trails that are the same number in the book which describes the trails. The map is not specific enough to use a compass with. Water resistant holds up well.
