This was a big investment for our family, but we really wanted a comfortable tent that was stable in the wind and keep us dry and comfy. There is plenty of room for 6, I'd say (even though it's rated for 8 people). The ventilation is great, it has an enormous vestibule, and when a sudden storm came up last year, everyone else's tents flew around like tumbleweeds, our Big Agnes Flying Diamond stood like a bomb shelter. Pretty easy to set up (if you read the directions, and please do). Love, love, love it, money well spent :)
