Comments about OSPREY Exos 58 Backpack:
Used this pack for 1750 miles on my 2010 AT thru hike. The back band started to wear out after about 400 miles. Osprey balked at replacing the pack. They wanted me to bring it to Trail Days to be repaired. The back panel totally disintegrated by Vermont and the frame was digging into my hip. In addition, there is not enough adjustment on the hip belt. After losing 30 pounds I had no more adjustment. I had to make some modifications to make it fit. EMS swapped out this pack for an Atmos 65 with no hassle. Other outfitters would not bother with me. I loved this pack but it is poorly designed. The mesh pockets on the hip belt rub against the back mesh panel and the frame causing it to wear. There needs to be something more durable at this contact point.

Comments about OSPREY Exos 58 Backpack:
Three days after I received the pack, I completed a 40 mile hike. The pack was very comfortable, especially the webbing on the "back" side. It allowed great air circulation. The small pockets on the hip belt were handy, as were the elastic cords for the poles - not having to remove the pack. It fit very well; set comfortably on my hips. For me, overall, it's an outstanding pack and I'm very pleased with it.I'm female, 5'5", 125 lbs, 53, experienced backpacker in Alaska.

Comments about OSPREY Exos 58 Backpack:
Used my new pack on a few backpacking trips, max weight I carried was around 25-28 lbs. The Exos is a super comfy and light weight pack with many more pockets than my Telon daypack. The shoulder and hip belt straps have more padding than my Telon daypack also. The only minor complaints I have is the energy bar pouch on the left should strap is too high up, Osprey should move it 2 to 3 inches lower to make it functional. The hip pockets, it would be easier for me to access my camera if the pockets from both sides were extended out by an inch or inch and half. Over all, it is a fanstic pack that you won't feel the weight once you have it on.

This is an excellent backpack. The first time I have used it was a 3 days backpack hiking in White Mountain NH. I felt in love with this pack right away.

Comments about OSPREY Exos 58 Backpack:
My buddy bought this pack and when I put it on I just had to buy it. I have a "trusted pack" that is 10 years old, but I ditched it for a new love. This Osprey can fly. I rides dreat and the venilation on the back is amazing. I hardly had any sweat on my back. Lots of nooks and crannies and seems well built. My concern about the small buckle was alleviated after I wore a 30 pound load around all day. No problems at all. I would very much consider a multi-day hike with this pack. It seems to have more space than advertised.

Comments about OSPREY Exos 58 Backpack:
This is an awesome design for a pack. Lightweight, comfortable, a lot of space. My only problem with the pack is that it doesn't have access from the bottom. On extended trips, I try to conserve energy, so it's really inconvenient to waste it sifting through everything and unpacking when I need to get to the bottom. You can relieve this problem by packing smart, but you'll have to get down there eventually. Other than that, great pack.

This pack is something else! I filled it up and went like mad! No pain spots! You can't over load this thing unless you pack rocks for fun! The pack was designed by someone who loves to hike in comfort! Good Job Osprey! You'd be silly not to buy this one if your shopping for a pack!

Comments about OSPREY Exos 58 Backpack:
Trying to cut down pack weight...used this on an overnight. Pretty comfortable, nice suspension. Only change I would make would possibly be a little better waist padding.... but as I continue to reduce pack weight this issue will hopefully go away!

Comments about OSPREY Exos 58 Backpack:
I hiked with this pack on Mount Rainier and it made the trek much more enjoyable. The pack is super light and adjusts well when on. The exterior side pockets allow stowing layers when you get hot very easy. The water bottle pockets are a little hard to get to, but with practice I could get to my bottle.
