Bought this cover for an Alaskan Moose hunt (sorry to those who don't favor hunting, but the territory tested the gear to the max). Actually ended up using the large cover on a smaller pack, which might have helped it resist ripping while busting through nasty brush. In the end, five days of CONSTANT rain and a remarkably dry pack. Just shake it off and it's dry enough to come into the tent.

I bought this pack cover last summer when I purchased my pack. Originally I didn't think I would need it, but I'm certainly glad I bought it. The first hike I used it on was in the White Mountains last June and it down-poured heavily for 8-9 hours which was not pleasant at all. Good news for me was that after getting to the tent site and taking the cover off my pack, my pack was completely dry inside and out.
This cover is very well made as I like the elasticity of the cover to fit around your pack without any drawstring cords that other pack covers use. Additionally the clip on the top that attaches to the hand grip of the pack is convenient as well as the pouch the stays attached to the cover so you don't lose the pouch. Material is very strong and doesn't seem like it will wear out easily.
All in all, there's nothing not to like about the cover except maybe the price is a little high. But I can live with that especially if you want to know your gear is going to stay dry under any weather conditions and prolong the life of your pack.

Kept my pack bone dry on multiple trips this summer. Just be careful to keep it away from sharp rocks, sticks, etc. My buddy ripped his identical cover within hours of using it for the first time. The cause: a stick poking up right where he put his pack down.

I was excited about this purchase; for I liked the 'orange' color, the no seam style, and its snug wrap around fit.
However, I it did not take long before the grommet (which did not seem to have a valued purpose) fell out and I noticed a few tears due to resting my pack against an object.
Being able to stuff it into a 'small' sack is awesome... but for the price I could have used something a bit more durable... and if I was aware that there was a whole (grommet) in the lower portion of the sack... I probably would not have purchased this product.
Oh well... you lose some... you win some~ :(

I got 2 of these pack covers for my husband and myself. I wasn't exactly sure of the size I needed, so I just ordered a large...our packs really aren't that big, but the size large adjusted to cover them perfectly. They seem like nice, handy little things, but they do feel very flimsy. As long as I don't catch it on anything, it should keep my pack dry (I have yet to actually hike with it on).
