Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT Big River Dry Bag, 3 L:
Purchased two 5L and two 8L for an Adirondack trip. Used to hold clothes for my wife, 2 kids and me. Mine fell in the water as I was unloading at our campsite. It fell on the other side of the kayak and I had to walk around to get it so it was in the water for maybe 30 secs. My clothes were bone dry. Also I stored them behind my and my daughters kayak seats. We went through one afternoon with a good amount of rain and the water pooled behind our seats so the bags were sitting in water. Still no problems so we're very happy with the bags. They also fit nicely in the bow of the kayaks which is what I did later on in our trip.
Pros
- Garbage
- Ruins contents
- Takes in water
Cons
- Offers NO Protection

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT Big River Dry Bag, 3 L:
Stay away from this piece of garbage at all costs. I used it for my new iPhone and as luck would have it, it fell in the water and filled up with water, despite closing as it's supposed to be closed. It fried my cellphone.
Now let's see if the company actually stands behind the product and does anything about this loss of a very expensive phone. I wouldn't even recommend this to an enemy!

- Durable
- Great Capacity
- Protective
- Water Resistant
Cons

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT Big River Dry Bag, 3 L:
Ordered two, took both canoeing on Red Wolf Creek in Mississippi this weekend. Perfect size, much larger and I would have been tempted to bring the kitchen sink. Good tough outer surface, bright orange made it easy to ID among several dry bags on the trip. I will buy more>

Merchant response: This is just awful and painful to read through. One of two things happened here…either the Dry Bag was defective or it wasn't sealed properly. These bags have been used for years and the technology is pretty simple. Your friends and enemies would likely love owning one of these dry bags as they are extremely handy and practical. We know this wasn’t your experience and understand your utter disappointment. Worth noting here…any time you are buying something inexpensive to protect something expensive we'd highly recommend testing out the system first without the expensive device involved. That way you know it is safe to use, not defective, and although the process is fairly simple you will know you’ve mastered the seal.
