I have use the clear vinyl bags for years, but I somehow seemed to always puncture them. This bag was great! Very flexible material resists punctures and abrasions. The oval shape was really nice as it lays flat and doesn't roll around. The best was that is it really easy to fold down when you are closing it up to be water tight. With the plastic bags, they are often stiff and make getting 3 good folds difficult. But this folded over very easily due to the thin material. The bag never fell in the water or got completely swamped, cause I'm that good at kayaking! ;) But it got splashed and was laying on wet surfaces with no issues.
