Comments about Cascade Designs MSR Dragonfly Stove:
This is one of the most versatile stoves in my collection of camp stoves. Mult-fuel (naphtha, gasoline, kerosene, …), easy to prime, good heat output on high, fine flame adjustability with 2nd control valve, great simmering and the wide flip-out legs easily support 4+ qt pots. Priming wick enables priming without separate priming fuel; just wet the wick with fuel from the tank and light the wick to preheat. This is a good stove to consider if you're truly cooking vs. just boiling or if you are cooking for several people.
The extra ounces of weight are a reasonable trade off for the simmering and large pot capabilities. Be mindful to stir your food while cooking as the tight flame pattern will easily burn low liquid foods in thin cookware. High profile does require windscreen use when cooking in windy conditions. Like all 'roarer' type burner stoves this is not a quiet stove. Use with kerosene burns clean once primed, but the priming does soot the stove burner assembly up and kerosene does make the pump and burner oily on disassembly for transport. A zip lock baggy will keep your stuff sack and pack from smelling like kerosene or gasoline, naphtha evaporates without much residue. Need to change the jet if you switch between naphtha/gasoline and kerosene/diesel (both jets and the tool come with the stove).

Comments about Cascade Designs MSR Dragonfly Stove:
I've had this stove for a few years now with it surviving everything from car camping to hard core, long back country trips where it heated meals for 6 to 7 people. I have never had it clog, even when a friend without a clue tried to light it and ended up tossing it in a lake to put it out. The flame adjust works very well and the stand has never tipped on me, even with 4L pots on it. And when you need things hot NOW, it does a pretty good imitation of a flame thrower.

Comments about Cascade Designs MSR Dragonfly Stove:
Had this for 4 years on many excursions in varied conditions. Never failed. A blowtorch. I have used other MSR stoves, but have always come back to this one especially for the more extreme conditions.

Comments about Cascade Designs MSR Dragonfly Stove:
Our old Dragonfly was reliable and durable for years of backpacking adventures. When it finally fell apart on our last trip to Yellowstone, it had the spunk to still function with some string and spit.Never let us down. Replaced it with the same stove.
