With the 12-year-old messenger-style bag finally giving up, I wanted a replacement with good capacity and a zip-out computer section for easy travel. The Commuter 2.0 has plenty of space. I've loaded it up with 3" of file folders, lunch containers, my rain coat, sunglasses, laptop accessories, and coffee mug with plenty of room to spare. The load was comfortable despite the relatively thin strap (about 2" wide). The strap is easily interchangeable so you could get something wider if necessary.
Given the size of this bag, I can probably fit 3 changes of work clothes in there (business casual type clothes), in addition to toiletries, a file folder or two, and laptop power supply. I'm pretty sure my down sweater would fit in there on top of that, but I haven't tried yet.
The downside: I have a 14" laptop, but it comes with a high capacity battery that sticks out about 1/2" from the back. It makes the laptop 10.5" x 13.5", and the fit is very tight on the short dimension. Yes, I can zipper it closed, but I end up leaving it in the open space between the padded pouch and the bag when I'm not traveling through security.

Well made just the right size. I use it for work everyday. I just didn't like the typical lawyer briefcase look.

This product has rugged styling but can, and is, used by "suits" as well. It has alot of pockets, zippered compartments and a very user-friendly padded laptop pocket which IS great for travel. I believe it's best carried by the shoulder strap, as the handle could've been attached in a more secure manner.
